Default Elementalist/Necromancer MM

I only have Nightfall right now and i want to start E/N MM. The reason for elementalist is for energy storage +3 energy every rank of Energy storage, what is better. What I am getting at is what's better for MM Ele or Necro

Well, with energy storage you get huge energy pool (100 or so), but it doesn't help when you only have energy regeneration. I play necro at my main, I have energy pool of 43 and almost never run out of energy. Soul Reaping just owns when it comes to energy managenment. I don't play MM, i found that heroes do that better, i just simply play hex-spammer. Many 15 energy hexes, still recharge time is bigger problem than energy. Soul Reaping > energy storage.

with the soul reaping you won't run out of energy and you have stronger minions when you're primary necro
i don't see why it could be usefull with a ele with high energy
you can't run out of energy with your minions killing enemies

Necromancer. Do not use a class for something it's not meant for.

You don't HAVE to use a secondary as a MM, but going /D always helps by using Mystic Regeneration. I know it's overrated, but it still proves a good defense (especially with Aura of the Lich and/or Dark Bond). Just don't rely on it as your only defense if you don't have monks to heal and prot you, although it's fine for everyday things.

There's also using /Mo for Heal Area/Karei's Healing Circle as a big heal for you and your minions, or /A if you find that you're getting attacked a ton rather than your minions or other party members (because Shadow Arts specializes in self-defense). /W helps if you're facing tons of melee and knockdowns due to block stances and Balanced Stance.

Most professions can be useful somehow in playing a MM, but I'm just listing the general skills that people use.

More base energy IS NOT energy management... this is a common mistake amongst new players. Energy Storage is really a fairly useless attribute where you just dump all your spare points into and don't even bother runing it, the only exception is Mind Blast where you actually need a high base energy to get your energy management.

Also MM'ing pretty much requires 16 Death Magic. It's really the only build that merits the -75 health from using a superior rune. With X/N you can only get 12 Death Magic, making your minion army significantly weaker.

For a secondary, as said above, you don't really need one. Heal Area is fine if your Monks are too incompetent to heal you. Otherwise just spec all into Death Magic and Soul Reaping. For minion bombing on heroes with Bone Minions, I make them /Mo with Protective Spirit, which they tend to spam on minions, to make minions able to tank and last longer.
